INTENSE 365 MONTH 6: REGROUP & RECORD

The point of Intense 365 is to help you build a foundation to create long-lasting lifestyle changes, not cosmetic shifts.

How are you going to do that if the base is crooked?

How much more can you pile on till something breaks?


This year is rough y'all, and in the past, I was building a castle, but this round, I'm just working on a rambler (that I can upgrade later.)

If you want to hoist additional weight, your foundation must be secure and strong, as in strength training, as in life. 

So what it do then?

Well we make sure our foundation is strong with a little R&R.

Regroup and Record

Before I add to the groundwork already laid out, I want to be sure I'm doing it consistently enough to take on new challenges. (Regroup)

In order to make sure I am looking at data and not just trying to go off memory as well as get an opportunity to celebrate my wins, I need to be able to look back at trends.(Record)

Regroup

This month is all about digging in and hitting the ATTAINABLE goals already set so we can all fortify for the next 6 months ahead.

If you find looking at your receipts that you aren't hitting your goals (3 containers of water for me, no problem, that 4th one is a struggle) , now is the time to adjust them; not abandon them entirely. 

Record

If you haven't been keeping track of what you were doing, now is the time to start.  

Been walking daily for 10 min? Great, check that off!

How 'bout your water game? Getting in two containers some days and 4 on others? It's all good…but don't you wanna know when you are doing what?

Oh, and those phone calls who did you speak to?

Sure you remember this week…but how about three 3 weeks from now?  

Starting to keep track of this gives me joy just seeing the name written down.

Vehicle

You can use a simple dollar store calendar, a notebook, or get this simple snazzy number from Etsy I got to fit in my travelers' notebook.

This gives me the sweet balance of simple and meticulous that I love. I am able to check off the tracker section pretty easily and see how well I'm lying down or straightening out, that foundation as I go.

Real change happens in small increments over time, and sometimes if you aren't paying attention, you may not give yourself credit where you deserve it,

but this will help you focus on your wins and take breaks to pat yourself on the back once and awhile. 

Let's work on a little R&R and get our foundation ready for what lies ahead!
